Speaker Bio:
Michael A. Cuneo is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional with 15 years of financial services industry experience servicing high net worth private clients and business owners.
Michael received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Binghamton University while training at both Merrill Lynch and US Trust. Following his education, Michael began his career at a nationally ranked financial planning practice under Ameriprise Financial followed by five years at Cohen & Steers Inc, a $40 Billion institutional and retail asset management firm. At Cohen & Steers, Michael designed goal driven investment portfolios for high net worth and institutional clients utilizing Separately Managed Accounts, Mutual Funds, Publicly Traded Closed-End Funds and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) with a focus on publicly traded real estate, large cap equity, infrastructure and preferred securities.
From 2010 to 2013, Michael held the position of Regional Vice President at RiverSource Insurance leading business in the areas of estate planning, business succession planning and eldercare asset preservation planning.
Michael grew up in Cold Spring Harbor, NY and currently resides in East Northport, NY with his wife Kadi and their two children, Charlotte and Parker. He currently serves on the board of the Financial Planning Association of Long Island. Michael’s philanthropic pursuits include fund-raising and participation in the Avon Walk for breast cancer research in New York City as well as community volunteer work on Long Island.
